Who Knew That A Can Of Pepsi Max Was All It Took To Turn A Man Gay

Pepsi may have got themselves in trouble recently for appearing to sponsor a concert, for which they have since apologised, that saw well known homophobe Beenie Man perform, but as this advert shows this is not a company that not only has a sense of humour but isn’t afraid to make a stand against homophobia.

  1. Murray says:

Is the Pepsi Max advert really “a stand against homophobia” when it ends with the (presumably formerly closeted) gay man’s friends looking respectively confused and disgusted?

  2. Queeried Team says:

That is true Murray looking at it from the angle of the actual content of the advert and the ending. My point was more to do with Pepsi actually being willing to show “gay content” in their advert which is something many other companies won’t even go near. I do agree with you though it’s not a totally positive representation. Hopefully if Pepsi continue in their support of the LGBT community then they won’t feel the need to placate the straight community in this way.
