UK Black Pride Announce Theme And Headline Acts For 2010 Event
UK Black Pride have announced that theme of this year’s event will be ‘Pride, A Deeper Love’ and will take place on Saturday 14th August in Regents Park College Inner Circle, Regents Park London NW1 4NS.
Promising that it will be the best yet, Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, UK Black Pride Director said:
“This year’s UK Black Pride looks set to better than any in the last five years. We’ve firmly established this community-led event with world class entertainers and an incredibly friendly inclusive atmosphere that makes you want to party late into the night. Everyone should come and share in this amazing celebration as you won’t find anything like it in the UK!”
Hosted by Khadijatou Doyneh, Cyril Nri, Dean Atta & Skye, Queen of Lover’s Rock, Janet Kay is heading the event with performances by Jessie J, funny man Tony Hendrix, Lorna Gayle, spoken word artist Realitie also lined up alongside Whitney Houston impersonator Ikenna Amaechi, Keith Jarrett, Cat Lewis, Naechane Valentino, Anthony aka Moonchild + Potential Productionz presents Siren, Sharlz, Inspiration, Rayman & Dominator.
Speakers lined up to well speak include Topher Campbell and Ajamu from Rukus!, Peter Tatchell and Seaon Burkley Van-Sertimi from Outrage! Rev Rowland Jide Macaulay and Pav Akhtar, and if that wasn’t enough there’s also a host of DJs a market place, information stalls, empowerment workshops, dance tent, secret garden, games zone, chillout space, licensed bars and food stalls.
