Wisconsin’s Leading Anti Gay Supporter Endorses Republican Sean Duffy For Congress

Wisconsin’s leading advocate of the ban on gay marriage that was put in place in 2006, Julaine Appling, has given her support to Republican Sean Duffy’s bid for Congress  saying she believed he was the right man for the job thanks to his focus “traditional marriage and other timeless values“.

Saying that she believed Duffy was best positioned to win the seat and defeat Democrat Julie Lassa to in the November election, Appling’s endorsement is significant following opponent Dan Mielke last week saying Duffy, who appeared in a low budget film about a gay couple getting married, was soft on the issue of same sex marriage.

Duffy has said that he is in support of the 2006 ban and that it was not consistent with his values.
