Sarah Jessica Parker Gives Away Her Own Premiere Tickets To Help Support Gay Charity

Sarah Jessica Parker, the star Sex and the City has shown her commitment to he fight for equal rights for the LGBT community but auctioning off her own tickets to the world premiere of Sex and the City 2. Going for  for an amazing $11,000, the auction was held as part of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation annual gala on February 6th.

Held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York city,  the gala saw the actress, best known for her portrayal of the character Carrie Bradshaw, auction off her tickets in person, and she wasn’t the only celeb willing to give something away to held support HRC  with Michael Urie of Ugly Betty offering up  a dinner date (and kiss), whilst gay celebrity and fashion expert Tim Gunn teamed up with Jill Zarin of Real Housewives of New York City to offer a joint day of lunch and shopping to the highest bidder.

Already a big hit with the attendees, Zarin, who was introduced as “the LGBT community’s favorite housewife” acted to make herself even more popular by starting the evening with the annoucement that “I can’t stand the fact the LGBT Americans are still being treated like second class citizens”.
