New LGBT Magazine With A Difference Out There Hits The Streets

Fed up with there being no magazine for the gay community that isn’t written with Graham Norton clones in mind? Brown Tiger Publishing is here to save the day with a brand new bi-annual magazine, OUT THERE.

Targeted at the professional. affluent and discerning man, this international magazine has been in the making for nearly a year, and has become a real labour of love for those behind it who have worked tirelessly to ensure that they have on the very best in international, cutting-edge contributors to produce editorial and creative for it.

The first addition entitled “Issue One: The Freedom Issue” gets OUT THERE off with a bang celebrating  all aspects of homo-culture, and brings you not only the best of now, but also who you can expect to become hot stuff very very soon. Told via stunning editorial and just as impressive photography these are definitely features you’re going to want to read time and time again.

Taking you from Sao Paolo to Singapore, the 200-page inaugural issue not only does an impressive job of reflecting the immense talent and creative of the gay community, but also explores more social issues like how our freedom was won and how in some parts of the world, there is still so much to do.

Featuring veterans of New York’s Stonewall uprising as well as international activist Peter Tatchell, who speaks about about his experiences of the early days of the UK’s gay liberation front, OUT THERE also takes a closer look, alongside IGLHRC,  on the religious bigots who are exporting homophobia to Africa and beyond.

And it doesn’t just end culture and activism. NYC gay royalty Earl Dax is also there to guide you through Brooklyn’s alternative cabaret scene, as part of their 50 page New York travel focus, whilst young and rising star
photographers Markus Bollingmo and Eiki Mori  explore Paris and Japan.

The arts also insn’t forgotten as both Michael Fassbender and OUT THERE’s cover star Alan Cumming spell the beans.

Speaking about what he wanted for OUT THERE Martin Perry, Creative and Editorial Director said:

“My vision for OUT THERE is to inform and entertain in equal parts. What sets us apart from everyone else is thatour content is developed by people who have something passionate to say about the places and things they love and their experiences of being ‘out there’. And it’s more than just the written word, we strongly believe that experiences are mainly visual – and you’ll find that our stories are illustrated with stunning, original, commissioned and curated photography and expressive forms to bring them to life. OUT THERE readers are not looking for a magazine that dictates to them what they want – they form their own opinions, what we do is provide them with inspiration that affirms their life choices”,

Perry has definitely set himself a tough challenge with OUT THERE, but from what we’ve heard about this new magazine / journal it sounds like if anyone can make it a success it’s him …  and if  pre launch registrations and subscriptions are anything to go by, it sounds like it already is!

Out There is now on-sale in London at Prowler Soho, DV8 Soho, KK Outlet Hoxton, ZDonlon Books Broadway
