Leading Spanish Gay And Lesbian Magazine Zero To Close
Zero, the leading gay and lesbian magazine in Spain, will close after the 120th edition hits the shelves after the publishers saw advertising income fall by 60%.
The editor of the magazine, Miguel Ángel López, has spent the last few months trying to raise funding to keep the magazine going, but has had to give in to the inevitable after the business officially filed for bankruptcy on the 6th of November 2009.
Once a magazine which features some of the biggest celebrities and names in Spain, including the Mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón and the Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, many will be sad to hear Zero’s 12 year run has come to the end with no visible contender in place.
