First Coronation Street Lesbian Kiss To Air In April

There’s been lots of rumours that we are soon going to see the first Coronation Street lesbian kiss with The Sun now claiming it will been seen on British screens in April.

The two actresses who will share the kiss are Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson, who play Sophie Webster and Sian Powers, with the scene seeing a comforting hug turning into something a whole lot more passionate. The events leading up to the kiss between the pair who have taken a vow of chastity will see another character in the series, Ryan, attempt to kiss Sophie, something that leaves Sian distraught and running into the arms of her friend.

Rumours about the kiss have been floating around for a while with Brooke and Sian apparently having had long discussions on how to play the scene, with Brooke saying in an interview that:

“I’ve just told her as long as she sticks to her own side when it comes to the kissing scenes things will be fine. But no tongues!”

Whether the storyline will end up being nothing more than a token one off lesbian kiss or develop into anything more we’ll have to wait and see, but just in case it is make sure you’re watching Corrie  on Friday, April 9 otherwise you might just miss it!
