Michelle’s Marathon Madness and Queeried – Michelle Penny

Michelle Penny is the lead writer and head honcho at Queeried, and a die hard, bore you to death advocate of LGBT rights.

Having something of a varied background, Michelle tried to avoid entering the scary world of work by first studying Sports Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire before deciding she didn’t want to actually want to wiggle people’s legs and asking if it hurt for the rest of her life, and did something of a U turn beginning a second degree in Social Policy that saw her not only gain a 1st (quite how she managed that we’ll never know), but also sparked a passion to rid the world of inequality that she spent the last three years studying.

On top of that rather large challenge, Michelle is also a somewhat unenthusiastic runner who is currently training for the LA Marathon, which she will be running in aid of The Jed Foundation. Chronicling this journey as part of her weekly Marathon Madness column, Michelle hopes that she will get to the finish line before the next marathon begins.

When she’s not running or writing her column Michelle can be found keeping Queeried up to date with the latest LGBT news as well contributing to a range of other websites.
