Britain’s Got Talent Contestant Plans To Sue Show Saying It Made Out He Was Gay And A Transvestite
The UK isn’t called the “Compensation Nation” for nothing with the Metro reporting today that Philip Grimmer, a 56 year old contestant on Britain’s Got Talent, is planning to sue the show after both Simon Cowell and the presenters of the show Ant and Dec acted to “defame” his character by suggesting he was gay and a transvestite.
Saying that the show acted to portray him as a transvestite, the performer, who made it through to the semi-final stages, was told by Cowell that ‘Madonna at 95 would look better and dance better than you.’ something he told The Sun newspaper that he found insulting and that he was offended by Ant and Dec saying that he must love dressing up as a woman.
Saying that friends and family now see him a cross-dresser and gay, Grimmer said that the show wass “…portraying me as something I’m not which is defamation against my character. It’s not who I am.”
Grimmer’s claim comes after hearing of fellow contestant Emma Amelia Pearl Czika who is looking for discrimination damages of up to £2.5 million saying she was humiliated by Simon Cowell when she appeared on the show.
Seriously do these people not actually watch the show before they appear on it….
