Brandon Flowers Releases Solo Album Flamingo Due To Fear Time Off Would Mess Him Up

Probably best known for being the vocalist and keyboardist of “The Killers”, Brandon Flowers has proven this year that he’s just as talented a solo artist as he is a band member with his first debut album “Flamingo” that was released on 6th Sept.

Saying that he decided to try out the solo thing after the rest of the Killers said they wanted to take some time off, Flowers commented that:

“I don’t blame them for taking a break,”
“But I’m always writing, and I wanted to chase these songs. I also have a fear that if I stop for a year, it might mess me up.”

Naming his album after Flamingo Road, an off strip Vegas street that Flowers sees as his “Penny Lane”, the album explores his spiritual beliefs (“Playing With Fire”), regret “Hard Enough” and the seedy side of Las Vegas.

Releasing “Crossfire” as the first single earlier this year to public and critical acclaim this could just end up being one of the albums of the year…

Flamingo” is available to order online, complete with exclusive Play.com slipcase sleeve from Play.com.
