Scheduled for general release on April 16, 2010, Babies is a feature length documentary directed by award-winning documentary filmmaker Thomas Balmès, and is based on a idea by Alain Chabat, who has produced the picture alongside Amandine Billot and Christine Rouxel.

Guaranteed to have you captivated from the moment this documentary starts, Babies sees Thomas Balmès follows four babies from birth in four very different places – Bayanchandmani in Mongolia, Opuwo in Namibia, San Francisco in the USA and Toyko in Japan – and is a brilliant example of how very different a universal point in our lives can be depending on situation and culture.
