Anger As National Front Homophobic Stickers Appear In Manchester’s Gay Village
Manchester’s gay village has been made an uglier place thanks to the placing of homophobic stickers around the Canal Street area of Manchester.
Believed to have been placed there by the extreme right group The National Front, the stickers began appearing a number of weeks ago with locals simply ripping them down until a complaint was made to the police.
Reading “The National Front. Homosexuality equals AIDS. The queer plague”, these stickers also feature a phone number which direct callers to an answer message about becoming a member of the National Front.
The National Front are well known for their hatred of the LGBT community having organised anti-gay prides in the past, and say they will criminalise homosexuality when elected saying:
“We will ‘stop’ this immoral and un-natural practice from being promoted to under 5’s in kinder gardens and primary schools, Gay bars will be closed, soaps will have their gay story lines removed or be closed down and public displays of homosexuality, lesbianism and transgenderism will also be made illegal”
