5 Womens Black And White Striped Tops That Won’t Make You Look Like A Zebra Crossing
The fashion gods (also known as the fashion journalists of this world) have spoken and they have said four words – black and white striped tops.
Well okay they actually said a bit more than just that, but it does appear that for us women there’s one thing they think it going to be huge this year – the striped top. Seen as being that you can dress up or dress down, it’s been described as the new essential for every woman’s work and going out wardrobe, and so we thought, just in case you hadn’t got yours yet, though we assume you do being as stylish as you are, we bring together five of the hottest black and white striped tops to be found online.
Black and White Stripe Ponte Tunic
Whilst this stripy number from Dorothy Perkins is actually a dress as opposed to a top, we think it looks much better teamed up with some skinny jeans and pumps as it does worn on it’s own. Designed out of 81% Polyester, 18% Viscose and 1% Elastane it’s going to feel great against your skin, and really show you off with it’s figure hugging cut.
Available in sizes 6 – 22 at Dorothy Perkins.
Jasper Conran Stripe Jersey Tunic
Okay we’re going to put our hands up and admit this straight away – this isn’t a black and white top. It’s more of a navy blue and white top, but we’ve decided to ignore that because of just darn stylish it is.
Cut in a loose shape that’s wonderfully comfortable and gorgeously flattering at the same time, you’re also guaranteed to attract everyone’s attention with the wide neck and solid block colour detail down one side.
Available for £28.00 from Debenhams.
Stefanel Striped Monoshoulder Knitwear
It’s pretty safe to say that we have fallen head over heels in love with this off the shoulder knitted top from Stefanel, and why wouldn’t you…
Gorgeously sophisticated with it’s diagonal stripes, block of solid black colouring to the left upper area, and open left shoulder, this is the kind of top that can be dressed up to make you the belle of the ball, or thrown on with some jeans for a super sassy, yet chilled out look.
Available in S to XL at House of Fraser.
Karen Millen Graphic Stripe Roll Neck
If there’s one thing that this Karen Millen top definitely is, it’s stripy.
Featuring big stripes, little stripes, horizontal stripes and vertical stripes, this is definitely a top that will grab the eye not only because of it’s stripes, but also it’s figure hugging shape and cool design details, like the contrast black edging and branded metalwork along the bottom edge.
However such styling doesn’t come cheap, as you’re going to have to have a spare £89.95 in the bank to afford to buy it from the Karen Millen site.
Coast Sina Stripe Top
Designed with a subtle cowl neck, this long sleeved black and white striped number from Coast is ticking many a box for us, not only because it’s long sleeved styling makes it a whole lot more practical for using as both a work and play item, but also because of it’s longer length that makes it ideal if you’re a taller chick.
Add to that the fact the top is styled from 80% Viscose and 20% Silk to give a great feel, and a great shape, and we’re not sure what there is to not like about it!
This Coast Stripe Top is available in sizes 8 to 18 at House of Fraser.
